Mum just bought a new phone - the Nokia 2760, an outdated basic phone that came with basic accesories.
The Nokia 2760.
The package comes with a charger and an earphone with mic besides the phone itslef and its 700 mAh battery.
The charger and the earphone.
The phone has an external monochromatic display which display some basic information such as time when the phone is folded. The 1.9 inch main display which has a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels revealed when it is unfolded, the font size of is custoamizeable which is very useful for my mum, her eye sight isn't as good as young people you know.
The main display and the S40 user interface. Yes, my mum doesn't read English.
Some other features of the phone:
- VGA (0.3MP) camera.
- Bluetooth.
- 10MB internal memory.
- FM radio.
It has a 2.5mm earphone jack and standard Nokia charging port protected with a piece of rubber on top, no USB, no memory card, that's pretty much about this about 2 years old model and mum is not going to make use of these functions anyway.
The sandy gold colour unit looks more pretty to me, but the shop has only one colour in stock, which is the navy blue as shown in the pictures above.
The sandy gold colour version.
Basically, it's very basic, not much to expect from a about 2 years old model that costs less then 300 MYR. Well, it suits mum's basic needs!

First Week of November
Woops, the first week of November has already gone! I still have about two months of semester break anyway.
One week ago (Sunday, 1st November), went for some Dim Sum at Bukit Beruang with my family, I liked their Cha Siu Baau and their Dim Sums are quite good, at least the restaurant is kinda famous in Melaka (Melaka has very few Dim Sum restaurant anyway). You can know it when you see the little shop lot has over 10 employees, lol!
A photo taken in that morning when I was jogging with mum. Everything covered in mist, I like the scene.
In contrast to common belief, this meat-wrapped-in-chilli Dim Sum is not that spicy.
After filled our stomachs with Dim Sum, we went for praying at Qing Yun Temple, a quite famous Buddhist temple in Melaka located at Jalan Tokong (Tokong road). There is another interesting spot near this Temple - Jalan Tukang Emas (Tukang Emas road) where you can find a Muslim mosque, a Buddhist temple and a Hindu temple built side by side! That's the kind of harmony you can find during the good-old-time (All three of them were built decades ago).
The Qing Yun Temple, located at Jalan Tokong.
On the Friday of the same week, I drive mum to Tangkak and we enjoyed a pot of Bak Kut Teh. The restaurant was different from the one I mentioned in this post, the Bak Kut Teh here is more concerntrated. One of the famous places to eat in Tangkak.
A small pot of Bak Kut Teh for mum and me!
And then, today, had some roasted bread + Teh (milk tea) at Jasin with dad, yet another enjoyable evening.
Dad's coffee and my Teh.

Almost Accident!

As shown in the picture above, I almost got hit by that stupid black coloured Perodua Viva! It happened just a few hours ago! Phew, luckily I was able to avoid it else I probably don't have the chance to write here now already!
I was on my way back to home with my mum from Jasin, happily driving my old red Perodua Kancil in the rain, at about 6-7 pm. As I reach the T-junction, this Viva from opposite direction suddenly cornered into the road I was on! Fortunately, I was able to avoid it in time, else we would crach into each other! I'm not sure why the Viva driver did so, not sure if it has anything to do with the bike from the side road, I don't have time to pay attention on that.
To make things worse, it was dark and raining, and the Viva's headlamp was NOT turned on and it was a black unit! The driver then slowed down for a few seconds and then drived away! Ffffffuuuuuu!!! That was so close!
